A New York City Moment

NYC moment

Once I walked into a vintage store in Soho.

I remember it like it was yesterday. June 2012. At that time, I lived in New York for nearly 4 months and went out to do some Saturday vintage shopping in Soho. Suddenly I saw this flattering white dress that reminded me of Marylin Monroe – it was love at first sight.

Since I left NYC, I’ve worn it maybe 3-4 times only, because I always thought it’s to festive, too glamorous for casual occasions and everyday life. So I kept it in my closet. Then sometimes I would just stare at it to experience that New York City moment again. The other day, when it was all grey and rainy outside, I looked at it again and thought ‘fuck it, I’m gonna be fancy today and wear that stunning dress’ – but in a casual way. As you can see, I combined my beloved pointed boots with one of my favorite belts and added a bandana choker. A pretty rad look that’s more streetstyle suitable with a touch of NYC glamour.
